The Parents & Friends Committee is a group of people with children or grandchildren at St John the Apostle Primary School.
What do we do?
We aim to strengthen the bond of the school community by providing support/services for events such as Mother’s/Father’s Day stalls, Parent Morning Teas, Second-hand Uniform sales, Fun Lunches & Pancake Tuesday. We assist in helping to raise funds for the provision of equipment and facilities the school may require.
When do we meet?
The Parent & Friends Committee aims to meet the second Tuesday of each month, the exception being during school holidays. This is a great way to be involved with our school community and meet other parents/guardians.
We know that life is busy so understand if some members are unable to make every meeting. Please feel free to still register as a regular member, or help on a needs basis, all support is greatly appreciated.
Why should you get involved?
Being a member of the Parents & Friends Committee is a great way to provide support for the students and staff of the school and to meet other parents/guardians. Becoming involved in the school community is proven to have a positive effect on your child’s education.
We are hoping to see the Parents & Friends Committee grow in numbers.
Joining is easy. There is no need to commit to anything. Simply come along to the meetings & help out at the events that you can. You can come along to a meeting, listen, share any ideas and enjoy the company. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers are most welcome.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved but cannot make the next meeting please contact us via the school office or our email or facebook page below.
